Man Found Dead in Fargo Likely Died of Exposure

Posted: Updated:

Fargo Police have identified a man who was found dead outside a Fargo business on Thursday. He is identified as Randy Lee Lafontaine. The 48-year-old has no permanent address.

Lafontaine's body was found underneath a truck on Thursday in the 1900 block of 2nd Avenue South in Fargo. Investigators say his body had no signs of trauma and likely died from exposure to the cold.

Authorities are investigating after a body was found at a south Fargo business. Police were called to a building housing several businesses after someone in the area spotted a body laying outside.

Police say a man was found dead underneath a truck outside the business. Police say it appears the man's body has been there for a few hours.

After an initial look, police and a coroner on scene say they didn't find any signs of trauma, and weather conditions could have very well played a role in his death. They add nothing is being ruled out this early in the investigation and they will look into the case like they would any other unattended death.
