UPDATE

We have new developments on some ongoing robbery investigations in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Fargo Police are now saying it appears Tuesday night's robbery in Horace, North Dakota, and a robbery on January 7 at Mister Money in south Fargo are connected.

Wednesday afternoon, officers executed a search warrant at a south Fargo home in connection with both cases. Officers searched 2138 58th Avenue South and now police are asking for the public's help in finding two other people of interest: Valeri Dida and Nyantey Gaylah.

Yesterday, Rodrick Dida and Randi Fritze, both of south Fargo, were arrested after Casey's General Store was robbed at gunpoint. Vettel says they believe Rodrick Dida is involved in both the Horace and the south Fargo armed robberies.

Stay with Valley News Live, we will bring you updates as they come in on this developing story.

ORIGINAL STORY

Police are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery at the Mister Money on 25th Street South in Fargo. The robbery happened just after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Fargo police say one man displayed a silver hand gun and demanded money. They were able to get away with some cash. A K9 tracked the scent for a while and police officers were able to follow footprints in the snow, but no one was found.

Three people were inside the store at the time of the robbery, one customer and two employees, but none of them were injured. Lt. Joel Vettel says the time of the robbery is unnerving.

"We do not see many armed robberies in the middle of the day here in the city of Fargo. Those are extremely rare so when they happen they are certainly alarming," Vettel said.

Police describe the two men as black with strong accents, though they couldn't give specifics about the type of accents. They are both about 5'6" to 5'8" and were wearing dark clothing, gloves, and masks over their faces during the robbery.

About 10:30 a.m., one hour after the robbery, police tell Valley News Live they have several leads and will be looking at surveillance video. Lt. Joel Vettel says payday loan stores like Mister Money are often times targeted.

"These are certainly businesses that are targeted both nationally and certainly we see that regionally and locally," Vettel explains. "Businesses that deal with maybe a little bit higher levels of cash than other types of businesses are certainly ones that seem to be targeted."

A West Fargo Mister Money was also robbed by two men at gunpoint in November.  Lt. Vettel says there are several similarities between the two crimes, but it is too early to say if they are connected or not.  Fargo Police are collaborating with West Fargo police, and they have also reached out to the FBI.
