Klieman Introduces Coordinators

Posted: Updated:

When Chris Klieman was named Craig Bohl's successor as head football coach Athletic Director Gene Taylor knew that klieman would have no problem filling his coaching staff. After all, Klieman has been called the Mayor of the Missouri Valley Conference because he seemingly knows everybody.

But when it came to hiring assistant coaches, Klieman didn't just look at coaches he was familiar with, he looked to guys like Tim Polasek and Randy Hedberg who understand the state of North Dakota and Bison football.

Polasek returns to NDSU as the Offensive Coordinator and running backs coach after one season at Northern Illinois. Former Northern Iowa Defensive Coordinator and Western Illinois associate head coach Matt Entz will be NDSU's Defensive Coordinator and former Southern Illinois quarterbacks coach Randy Hedberg will serve in that role with the Bison. While their experience in the valley is a plus, Klieman says their intagibles are what makes their hires a home run.
