State Governors Make Friendly Wager of FCS Game

Posted: Updated:

Gov. Jack Dalrymple has made a friendly wager with Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley on the outcome of Saturday's NCAA Division 1 Football Championship title game between North Dakota State University and Towson University.

Dalrymple wagered a case of North Dakota-made Dreamfields low-carb pasta that the Bison will win their third consecutive FCS national football championship. O'Malley said he will part with a package of Maryland crab cakes if the Towson Tigers fall to NDSU.

"The Bison have had a remarkable season and I'm confident that the Thundering Herd will finish with a perfect record and their third national title," said Dalrymple, who plans to attend Saturday's game in Frisco, Texas.

The FCS Championship Game is scheduled for 1:00 PM CT on January 4, 2014, in Frisco, Texas.

The Petro Serve USA Bison Football Pre-Game Show will air KVLY at 11:30 Am on January 4, 2014. Game will air on ESPN.
