Meet the First 2014 F-M New Years Baby!

Posted: Updated:

A West Fargo woman rang in the new year with a new addition to the family. Meet 7 pound, 11 ounce Adrian Blake Swanson.  He is the first baby born in the Fargo-Moorhead area in 2014.

Adrian was born around 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2014. His mom, Paige Swanson, says Adrian was three days overdue, but he is definitely worth the wait.

"Great! It was a good surprise for the first new years baby in 2014, so it was worth the wait for sure," Swanson says.

Adrian is Paige's first child and she says her family is excited for the new baby.

"Oh yeah, very excited. My parents have been here. They were up like all day yesterday and no sleep. So they're very excited."

Paige says she went to the hospital a couple times on Tuesday but was sent home. Once Adrian was ready to be born, everything went smoothly and both mom and the little guy are doing fine.
