No Travel Advisory for Northeastern ND

Posted: Updated:

The North Dakota Department of Transportation and the North Dakota Highway Patrol have issued a No Travel Advisory for northeastern North Dakota. The agencies say the high winds, snow and blowing snow have caused visibility in some areas to reduce to zero or near zero. Cities including Grand Forks, Buxton, Michigan, Cavalier, Grafton, Drayton, Pembina and surrounding areas are under extremely hazardous driving conditions. The agencies are asking motorists not to travel in those areas.
Meanwhile, a Travel Alert has been extended to include all remaining areas along and north of US-2 to the Canadian Border in northern North Dakota. Williston, Minot, Devils Lake and surrounding areas are under the Travel Alert as motorists may find areas of near zero visibility. Motorists can still travel in these areas, but should be aware of rapidly changing conditions.
