Everywhere Busy With Last Minute Shoppers

Posted: Updated:

If you're ready for the holiday congratulations, there were quite a few last minute shoppers out and about tonight. Some were picking up that last gift, and some were loading up their grocery carts. Everywhere you turn stores are packed with people. Today, traveling to the mall is no easy task, and good luck finding a parking spot. Jason Gates: Bell Ringer: "You have to take your time I guess, there are a lot of cars in town"

Nicole Johnson: "Are there a lot of people here today?" London Mickish- Shopping: "Yes!" Nicole: "Why do you think there are so many people here today?" Mickish: "Cause maybe it's Christmas, I have to get my dad something." Nicole: "And, when do you plan on doing that? Mickish: "I don't know."

Some waited till today to even start their shopping, and some enjoyed the time crunch. Nicole: "Do you have a lot left? "Yeah, about half way done."

Nicole: "What's it been like today shopping? Ryan Schmit- Shopping: "Pretty fantastic, I mean we got some awesome deals and everything." Nicole: "So why did you wait till the last minute. Schmit: "Well I don't know? I actually don't know." And some don't like the crunch at all.

Nicole: "Would you rather be sitting out here than being in the store?" Jack Voe- Shopping: "Yes, look it's so crowded in there, and it's nice and comfortable out here."

Ryan still needs to get his parents, grandparents, and his sister a present. Ryan: "Do you wrap the presents yourself? No, I get my mother or I get my sister, or if I do it, it's just going to be really bad looking. But hey you get a present anyways." And shoppers are still finding time to do something good. Gates: "Yeah, people are stopping by pretty regularly to drop off some change or dollar bills." "We're not shopping, we are just here to see Santa, and why are you here to see Santa? Cause we waited till the last minute."

And if you're waiting until the last minute to stock your fridge for guests , so did a lot of people. Hornbachers employees say things have been flying off the shelves.

If you still have gifts to buy, take it easy there is still time. Toys r us and Khols are open all night tonight, and Macy's will be open until 2 am. If you feel like finishing tomorrow, West Acres Mall will be open 8am to 4pm.
