Five Kittens Abandoned in Dangerous Temperatures

Posted: Updated:

A Minnesota State trooper stumbled upon an odd case of a roadside emergency, Sunday, when he responded to a woman who was actually involved in a rescue effort of her own. Todd Person, with the State Patrol, says a good Samaritan rescued five abandoned kittens on the railroad tracks on Polk Co. Rd 10, just south of Mentor, Minnesota. The kittens were found huddling together, trying to keep warm, as it was -25 degrees outside. According to the woman, there were no signs of animal tracks in the area. She says it appears they were dropped off to fend for themselves.
The Samaritan took the kittens home to care for them. She's now looking for loving homes to which she can send them.
