Another Round of Trouble on Icy F-M Roads

Posted: Updated:

Another round of trouble on icy roads this Tuesday morning in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Police responded to an injury accident in the 1700 block of South University Drive just before 7 a.m. Police say a car hit a pedestrian, but injuries did not appear to be serious.

Emergency crews were also called out twice in about an hour to the same stretch of Interstate 29 in Fargo -- two crashes reported between 5:15 and 6 a.m. on the interstate near Main Avenue.

One driver whose car rolled over had to be helped out of his vehicle because it was on its side. He was taken to the emergency room to be checked out, but police say he didn't appear to have any serious injuries.

Patrol officers are also checking on a couple of vehicles in the ditch along I-94 west of 25th Street.

Meanwhile, police are urging drivers to slow down on the slick surfaces and to not use cruise control during weather like this.
