Two Sent To Hospital After Car Hits West Fargo House

Posted: Updated:

Two people were taken to the hospital just after 10:00 a.m. Monday morning, after a car ran into a house in the 3100 block of 7th Street SE in West Fargo.

Police responded to a report of a reckless driver and found a vehicle in the ditch south of 32nd Avenue and West of Veterans Boulevard.

While an officer was talking with the driver, he accelerated, driving out of the ditch across 32nd Avenue and into a twin home.

One person was inside the home when the car hit. The person inside the home is okay but she was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

"The lady was sitting on her couch knitting when the vehicle came through and hit the back of her couch. She was going in to get checked out, she says she's got some headaches, but it doesn't look like anything serious," explains Gary Bommersbach with the West Fargo Police Department.

Bommersbach says they believe the driver of the car suffered a medical condition. It is estimated that damage to the home could be between $20,000-$30,000.
