Posted: Updated:

The University of Wyoming officially announces the hiring of Craig Bohl as their new head football coach today.

Bohl has been the coach at North Dakota State University for eleven season and has become the winningest coach in program history.

News broke Saturday evening on Twitter but nothing was confirmed until Sunday. Coach Bohl confirmed Sunday morning at 10:30 am on the Craig Bohl Football Show on KX-4 that he was in negotiations with the University of Wyoming.

At 2:00 pm NDSU athletic director Gene Taylor addressed the media in Fargo and announced that Craig Bohl's time with the Bison was coming to an end following the 2013 FCS Playoffs. NDSU is undefeated this season and looking to claim their third consecutive FCS National Championship.

At 6:00 pm the University of Wyoming officially announced Bohl as their new head coach with great fanfare. Bohl flew out to Laramie following his coaches show obligations Sunday to be a part of the announcement. He had the opportunity to greet his new players and talk with Cowboy supporters.

Attached are Craig Bohl's emotional comments during his press conference in Laramie, as well as an exclusive Valley News Live interview following the press conference.
