Cold Weather Cancels Jingle Bell Run/Walk in Fargo

Posted: Updated:

Our extreme cold temperatures have forced organizers to cancel the Jingle Bell Run/Walk in Fargo this weekend.

Organizers say while they realize that participants are excited and dedicated to race, the primary goal of the Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run/Walk is to ensure a safe event for everyone. Due to the projected weather forecast of temperatures as low as -23° below and a high of -5° below with wind projections of 10 mph, the Arthritis Foundation has made the decision to cancel the outdoor 5k run/walk course.

They say it was a difficult decision and was made based on the safety of all that are involved including the participants, volunteers, spectators and the host communities.

The indoor events will still take place as planned::
