Woman Injured After Leg is Caught in Snow Blower

A woman is seriously injured after her pant leg got caught in a snow blower Wednesday morning.  The Grand Forks Police Department says about 10:00 a.m. officers and other emergency personnel were dispatched to 5378 Circle Drive North for a woman injured by a snow blower.

When officers arrived, they found out that a 54-year-old women was found across the street with her left leg caught in a snow blower. The Fire Department and Altru paramedics were able to extract the women's leg by cutting some of the metal blades.

The woman was transported to Altru Hospital with severe injuries to her leg.  A preliminary investigation has indicated the woman's husband was snow blowing when her pant leg got caught in the blades and pulled her leg in.
