Tuesday night on 6:30 Point of View superintendent of Fargo Public Schools and member of the N.D. House Education Committee member Dr. Jeff Schatz joined host Chris Berg to discuss the merits of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) Initiative.
According to the program's website, the goal of the program is to "... provide a consistent, clear understanding of what students are expected to learn, so teachers and parents know what they need to do to help them." However, not everyone is satisfied that the CCSS is accomplishing what it was designed to do.
