Traveling within F-M City Limits? Prepare to see the Plows.

Posted: Updated:

While interstate and highway traffic is bound to get bumpy. Those traveling within the Fargo-Moorhead city limits are wondering what their morning commute will be like? Valley News team's Eric Crest fills us in on the latest preparations.

Moorhead, Fargo and West Fargo Public Works crews are all getting ready for what could come within the next 24 hours. Every department will have all hands on deck as we prepare for anywhere from three to six maybe even more inches of snow.

As of Tuesday evening crews have finished the snow cleanup throughout the F-M but that doesn't mean they're putting their feet up. Crews will be hitting the streets as soon as the snow starts to fall Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning working 12 hour shifts until they can be relieved early Wednesday morning.

Fargo, West Fargo, and Moorhead plan on taking care of the main routes and secondary routes of travel within about 24 hours of the time that it all stops. They have quite a night ahead of them so as you run into those crews out and about let your patience shine and if you're parked on the street move your vehicle if you can. Otherwise you might get a ticket, get towed or just get packed in with snow.

Expect to see all of the snow plows in the tri-city area out in full force tomorrow on your commute to work. Travel time will likely be impacted so plan accordingly. If the snow stops falling Wednesday morning it should all be pushed within just 24 hours.
