Officials Break Ground On The New Vikings Stadium

Posted: Updated:

Work is now underway on the new home for the Minnesota Vikings

In Minneapolis Tuesday, politicians and Vikings executives broke ground on the NFL team's new billion-dollar stadium.

The yet-to-be-named 65,000 seat stadium will be completed in 2016.

The current Metrodome is set for demolition after the last Vikings home game on December 29th.

In the meantime, the Vikings will play the next two seasons at TCF Bank Stadium.
