Firefighters Battle Grain Elevator Fire in Kensal, ND

UPDATE

The cause of the Kensal Grain Bin Fire has been confirmed to be Sunflower Screenings. Departments will be on scene throughout the afternoon to make sure the fire is completely out.

According to News Dakota, four fire departments responded including Kensal, Courtney, Carrington and Pingree. No injuries have been reported.

ORGINAL STORY

Several fire crews are on scene of a grain elevator fire in a small town north of Jamestown.  The fire was called in about 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning in Kensal, North Dakota.

As of 11:30 a.m., firefighters in Jamestown were on standby and tell Valley News Live the fire is still burning. At least three other fire departments are already on scene.

The American Red Cross is responding and providing food and water for the firefighters.
