Local Businesses Benefit From Cyber Monday

Posted: Updated:

Deals continue for holiday shoppers with the annual Cyber Monday, but it's not just stores nationally that are using the day to increase their sales.

Local businesses are also seeing the 'green' from Mondays shoppers. After many busy door-busting day's, many stores looked empty Monday afternoon.

But Lot 2029 owner Hope Wald doesn't mind, because that traffic is shopping online.

"We actually launched our online web page in April and since we launched this is definitely been our number one day so far." Hope laughs.

She was seeing her sale numbers increase significantly.

"It's crazy every couple of minutes we're getting orders in." Hope says.

They aren't the only ones with their sales boosting. International Marketing Systems needed extra workers to package all the online purchases being made.

"All hands on deck, everybody helps out in production and shipping just because the sheer volume is amazing." President Ryan Aldrich says.

They normally do most of their sales online, but Cyber Monday creates shopping frenzy.

"We'll see anything from double the order volume to triple the sales value for the day." Ryan exclaimers.

So although insides of local stores are looking bare, the benefits of having online deals are keeping these stores competitive all holiday season long.

Some local stores that are having online sales for Cyber Monday include: KittsonLot 2029, Outdoor Bunker, Boucle Yarn Studio, c.lizzy's, and Vintage Magazine Store.

Lot 2029 owner Hope Wald says they will continue deals every Monday through the holiday season.
