Holiday Catering Report Card

Posted: Updated:

As the holidays roll around, and the parties pile up, many will be catering the food. So for this weeks edition of Restaurant Report Card we decided to look into which professional catering businesses have been naughty and nice.

Oven Door Caterings most recent inspection had three non-critical violations. There was some food on the floor under shelving, and some boxes carrying single use containers on the floor.

The manager Ted says they fixed things immediately while the inspector was there.

VIP Catering had five non-critical violations including some as restaurant repairs that are needed. The inspector comments said the cook line reach in cooler door gasket was torn. Some water deposit debris was on the ice maker deflector plate.

The manager says they take all violations seriously and fix each as they come.

D & J Catering only had one non critical violation in their last three inspections. The owner says he's happy to keep everything clean to continue catering for the area.

One On One Professional Catering had two non-critical violations. Owner Roger Teegarden says he takes them as a learning experience.

"I always think of it how would the health inspector do, when there's a question of some sort what would he do, or how would he think it'd work best for us." Teegarden says.

His restaurant and catering business along with D & J Catering had the better reports in the area.

"We do it all the time so it's easy for us to cater out to holiday parties and things." Teegarden says.

All of the caterers just want to give you a stress-free holiday in the kitchen.
