North Dakota State left tackle Billy Turner was named Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week by the league office Monday, Nov. 25. It is Turner's third award of the season and NDSU's fifth overall.
Turner, a 6-foot-6, 314-pound senior from Shore view, Minn., has graded out at 90 percent with zero sacks allowed through the end of regular season. He had eight knockdowns in last week's 42-0 home victory over South Dakota.
NDSU rushed for 296 yards and four touchdowns averaging 6.3 yards per carry against USD. Sam Ojuri had 118 yards and John Crockett finished with 116 to give the Bison dual 100-yard rushers for the second straight game and the third time this season.
Top-ranked and No. 1 seed North Dakota State (11-0, 8-0 MVFC) will host a second round Football Championship Subdivision playoff game Saturday, Dec. 7, against the Furman-South Carolina State winner.
