John's Jobs: Radisson Hotel Sales Manager

Posted: Updated:

It's a job where you work with brides and grooms, work in one of North Dakota's tallest buildings and interact with travelers.

Put those clues together and you get our John Trierweiler's new job, the Sales Manager at the Radisson Hotel in Downtown Fargo.

Selling the 151 room Radisson Fargo, starts with a "yes I can," attitude and dedication to customer service. The day starts off with a staff meeting, Director of Operations Nick Duff said that's a critical part of tackling the day.

"We read our guest surveys, we figure out where are the area's we need to focus on, so that we can make for a better experience at the hotel," said Duff.

Selling one of the largest hotels in Fargo and the second tallest building in the state of North Dakota, requires you to know the hotel in and out. Not just selling the hotel but being able to step in and assist in all areas.

Whether it be helping engineering moving couches, taking calls at the front desk, or even helping the housekeeping staff sort through some of the 1,000 pounds of laundry they wash, dry and iron every single day.

It's all about teamwork at the Radisson in Fargo but does our John Trierweiler really have what it takes to do this job?

"I think you can do it, a few more days of training, you have the personality, you have that smile and you have that yes I can," said the actual Radisson Fargo Sales Manager Lauren Ahlquist.
