Fosston, MN Elevator Fire, Grain & Structure Damage

Firefighters in Fosston, Minnesota scrambled to a fire call Friday morning. Fire Chief Jim Aagenes tells Valley News Live the grain elevator in town started on fire sometime in the morning.

Chief Aagenes says neighborhoods were alerted to the fire, but no one was evacuated.  Aagenes says there was fire two bins, causing grain and structure damage.

The fire was quickly put out, but as of noon on Friday, the Fosston Fire crew was still trying to empty bins full of grain. Even though the fire is out, Chief Aagenes says it is still an active and dangerous scene.
