Fargo Man Sentenced to 30 Years in Wife's Murder

Posted: Updated:

Update:

A Fargo man will spend 30 years in prison for killing his wife. A judge handed down the sentence to Ronald Rogers Monday morning.  It is more than the state requested.

Rogers pleaded guilty to murder charges in September. He initially told police that his wife, Elizabeth, shot herself to death during an argument in their South Fargo home last February.

Police later determined Rogers shot his wife in the head and placed a pistol in her hand to make it look like she killed herself.
