Gluten-Free Conference in Fargo This Weekend

Eating gluten-free is growing, not just for those who want to eat gluten-free but those who have to. About 3-4 million Americans live with celiac disease, another 18-21 million have a sensitivity to gluten.

In-fact the gluten food industry is projected to be a $15 billion industry by 2015. This weekends conference and fair in Fargo, is geared toward both groups of people who live gluten-free.

The Gluten Intolerance Education Conference, runs Friday from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. geared toward those who are living gluten-free. It will provide them with the most up-date and current information about gluten-free life.

Conference cost is $175 for both days, $75 for just Friday and $100 for just Saturday. Pre-registration is over but you can still register at the door.

The vendor fair, features 40 vendors and is geared toward those who want to learn more about gluten free living or eating. The fair runs Friday from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    A Grand Forks man has been arrested for DUI after injuring himself and one other in a crash early Sunday morning. The Grand Forks Police Department says Charles Engen, 48, was driving a Ford F150 through the intersection of 28th Avenue South and South Washington Street when he hit a Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
