University of North Dakota head football coach Chris Mussman announced on Wednesday that freshman safety Cam Kuksa will miss the remainder of the season with a neck injury. Kuksa finished the Portland State game last Saturday with a career-high 13 tackles in what was his fourth start of the season. He moved up to second on the team in total tackles with 44 thanks to that performance.
"After consulting with medical professionals, we have decided to shut Cam down for the remainder of the season," Mussman said. "He was starting to play great football for us and obviously has a bright future, so doing this now will hopefully get him healed up and ready to go for the rest of what should be a promising career here at UND."
