UPDATE

One of the people allegedly involved in a string of Valley City church burglaries has been arrested. Police say Nicole Lindermann of Kathryn, North Dakota turned herself in Wednesday night, after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Lindermann faces a charge of conspiracy to commit burglary, accused of waiting outside as the burglary took place.  Police are still looking for Andrew Miklas, who they say was the one who did the burglarizing. More arrests in this case are expected.

ORIGINAL STORY

The Valley City Police Department has issued two warrants of arrest after investigating several church burglaries in the city.

Police are looking for Andrew M. Miklas. The 25-year-old's last known address was on 6th Street SE in Valley City. The charges he would face if found guilty would be felony burglary and misdemeanor theft of property.  The charges are for the burglary committed at Faith Lutheran Church.

Through the investigation, a possible accomplice was also identified. Police have a warrant out for the arrest of 18-year-old Nicole Lindermann. Her last known address is on 4th Street in Kathryn, ND. Charges against Lindermann would include conspiracy to commit burglary, which is a felony. Police believe Lindermann waited outside the church in a vehicle while Miklas was inside the church committing the burglary.

During the weekend of September 28 and 29, multiple churches were burglarized. The first happened at Trinity Lutheran Church, then Our Saviors Church, and the Congregational Church. On October 6, a burglary was reported at Faith Lutheran Church and the Valley City Public Library.

The investigation into the burglaries continues, and additional arrests are expected. If you have any information about these cases, call the Valley City Police Department at 701-845-3110.
