Bullet Accidentally Shot Through Motel 6 Window

Posted: Updated:

A motel guest could be facing charges after his gun went off accidentally shooting out a window. It happened Monday night at the Motel 6 on 39th Street South in Fargo.

Police say remnants of a slug from a handgun, along with the shattered glass window of a lobby door, were found in the motel's lobby. The door of the lobby was getting fixed today, as shown in the picture attached to this story.

After looking at surveillance video, authorities questioned and detained the suspect. Police say the man was intoxicated when he was handling the gun.

Long form complaints sent to prosecutors include charges of reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm within city limits, and a possible "conceal-carry" violation.
