ValleyCon 39 Gets Underway

Since the 1970's ValleyCon has been celebrating everything and anything comic, superhero and sci-fi in the valley and this year is no different.

ValleyCon gets ready for it's 39th year with a jam packed weekend of fun for everyone. New this year is an expansion on gaming, not just reality and card games but board games as well.

More than 75 vendors will be on hand to display everything from swords to jewelry. Even a jazz concert is taking place on Saturday night, along with a full scale replica of the Enterprise bridge from "Star Trek," and the "Doctor Who," call box.

Several celebrities and big names from the industry will also be on hand to sign autographs and meet fans. Highlights include, legendary author Alan Dean Foster, Zoie Palmer and Chase Masterson.

Doors open Friday at 3:30 p.m. and events run through Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the Doublewood Inn, located at 3333 13th Avenue South, in Fargo.

A variety of registration can be purchased to attend ValleyCon, from weekend passes to day or evening passes, even discounts for students and children.
