Busy Weekend Ahead for Pumpkin Patches

Posted: Updated:

With only two weeks left until Halloween and after last weekends heavy rainfall, this weekend could be one of the busiest for local pumpkin patches.

At Dakota Carriage Company Pumpkin Patch just north of Fargo, they're gearing up for just that. Last weekend they saw about 1,400 visitors and have sold about 3,500 pumpkins this season.

With 900 pumpkins still on hand and many more out in the field, there's still time to find that great pumpkin. New at the patch this year is a 2.5 acre addition, game and petting zoo area complete with pumpkin basketball and pumpkin launching.

On Saturday, the pumpkin launcher will even help out a local charity. You can launch a pumpkin for $1 with all proceeds going to the Nokomis Child Care Centers.

The Clydesdales that call the patch home are even celebrating their 50th year at the Dakota Carriage Company giving wagon rides.

The patch is open:

  • Thursday & Friday, 1:00 - 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, 11:00 - 6:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, 1:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Gate admission Thursday & Friday is $5 and $6 on Saturday & Sunday. Dakota Carriage Company is located at 7414 40th Ave. North, in Fargo. Just 3 miles west of the I-29 exit 69.
