BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Sentencing for a man charged in the starvation deaths of more than 100 horses in Burleigh and Morton counties has been moved to December.

William Kiefer pleaded guilty August 2 to nine counts of Class A misdemeanor overworking, mistreating or abandoning animals.

His sentencing had been scheduled for this month but has been moved to December 5 to allow more time for completion of a pre-sentence investigation and psychiatric evaluation.
