Getting into a Bison Football Game is Tough

Posted: Updated:

In this Bison nation it's no secret.

"it's really hard to find tickets now."

"it is very, one of the toughest things you have to do here."

All the home football game tickets were sold out back in August.

"it's always just packed."

"it's a full house, normally there are no empty seats."

Darrin Galde has been coming to bison games since he was in 5th grade.

"we have started a ticket exchange in our tailgating area, where people can come by and put their name on a whiteboard."

And he has never seen ticket prices this high.

"the demand, success breeds success."

And with all this success, are we looking at a FargoDome expansion?

"a lot of fan base has talked about it, there is people in the community saying they are looking at it."

The university has no formal plans yet.

"we are going to just ride this wave as long as we can and see how it works down the road."

But, this NDSU freshman hopes to see an expansion before he graduates.

"more people could come, more school spirit."

For students, getting a ticket is a competition.

"wake up really early before 8 o'clock, you get your laptop, you get your phone, everything you can, you go to gobison.com/student wait till 8 oclock, hit refresh, and then reserve your ticket."

But, there are always students on the wait list.

"I hope it stays this way, I hope bison football continues to have a packed house."

Bison success is no secret, but how to get into the game just might be.
