Man Arrested with 1.2 Pounds of Meth and $29,000 Cash

UPDATE

A traffic stop was conducted Tuesday afternoon in South Moorhead as a result of an on-going narcotics investigation.  Joseph Daniel Maniglia, Jr. was arrested without incident.  Maniglia was taken to the Clay County Jail and is being held on several Felony Controlled Substances charges.

Moorhead Police seized 1.19 pounds of Methamphetamine, 1.4 pounds of Marijuana, and smaller amounts of Cocaine and prescription pills.  Total street value of the illegal drugs is estimated to exceed $90,000.  Also seized was $29,000 in cash and his Ford F150 pickup.

Moorhead Police Investigators were assisted by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), ND Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), and the Fargo Police Department.

A West Fargo man is in jail after police found more than a pound of methamphetamine and more than $18,000 dollars in cash during a traffic stop.

Joseph Maniglia Junior is charged with three counts of selling and possessing a controlled substance. Police also seized more than a pound of marijuana and a small amount of cocaine.

Court documents say someone tipped off investigators that Maniglia was selling the drugs out of a shop behind Critter's Feed and Seed in Moorhead.

The complaint says detectives had the business under surveillance before Maniglia's arrest.
