Local "Chopped" Competition Creates Amazing Meals

Posted: Updated:

Who was "Chopped" and who made the cut?

Holy Cross Catholic Church in West Fargo held its own version of the popular Food Network show "Chopped" on Sunday. There were four teams, three entrees, but only one winner. The team "Women of the Word" won.

Valley News Team's Lisa Budeau was a judge along with Bishop Folda and Karen Winter. Lisa says every entree was amazing with great flavor and beautiful presentation.

The local cooking competition also had three secret ingredients for each entree like on the TV show. The teams had to use trout in their appetizer, quinoa in the main entree, and guacamole in their dessert.

The cooking competition was done in front of a live audience. The church hopes to hold the event again.
