UPDATE: Victim Identified in Deadly Head-On Crash

Minnesota State Troopers say Justin Olson, 25, of Wheatland, North Dakota died in a broadside-collision Friday night.

The crash happened on Highway 75 and 110th Avenue South, just South of Moorhead.
Olson was the passenger in the car, with two other people, when it swerved into the other lane and broad-sided another vehicle. All three people were thrown from the car.


Three of the four people involved in a deadly crash in Clay County have been identified.

Cynthia Zink, 52, of Oxbow, North Dakota, was driving the van that was hit broadside by a car rounding a curve on Highway 75. She was taken to the hospital, but her injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

Three people were ejected from the other car. Allen Burcham, 25, of Fargo was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Robin Olson, 27, of Fargo was also taken to the hospital, suffering injuries that were not life-threatening. The third person in the care was killed, but his name and age have not yet been released. No one in the car was wearing a seat belt.


We have breaking news from southern Clay County: One person has died following a head-on crash along Highway 75 and County Road 8. The report came in around 5:15 p.m. involving two vehicles.

Three people were thrown from the car, and the Highway Patrol says they were not wearing seatbelts. One of them died on the scene.

One was rushed to Sanford by Life Flight, the others, including a woman, who was driving a van were taken by ambulance.

Names have not been confirmed.
