Locals asking "where is my vacuum?"

Posted: Updated:

The sudden closure of a Fargo store has some asking, "Where's my vacuum?"

A viewer called us today, saying she dropped hers off at the Oreck store a few weeks ago to be fixed, and never heard back from them.

Yesterday, she went to the store, only to find it vacant and her vacuum no where to be found.

There seems to be a lot of unanswered questions here at the Oreck store on 13th Ave.

When I stopped by today, nothing was inside, and there was no note on the door. When you try them on the phone, it just rings and rings.

The Good Feet store next door says on Saturday morning there was a moving truck out front, and by Saturday night there was nothing left.

Complete Nutrition has had people walking in trying to find their vacuums for days.

"where's my vacuum, or where did they move to, they have no idea, they thought maybe they relocated um or they just ask if they told us where they were going."

They didn't give Complete Nutrition a head up at all.

"I think it's nuts, I was off this weekend, I come here on Monday, and it's complete empty and I went over there to see if there was even a note on the door, and nothing. "

A viewer on Facebook mentioned to us that Vacuum Express in Fargo purchased vacuums from the Oreck Store.

I then spoke with this local vacuum store, and they say they purchased only the new items from the Oreck Store, and they heard the reason it's close is simply because the business wasn't working out.

"I think they should reach out to their customer base, especially the ones with vacuums over there at the time I would never do that I just think that's a poor business move personally.

I was on the phone with corporate Oreck, and they have no record of an Oreck store on 13th Ave.

They say the stores are franchise, and the store owner is ultimately responsible for the missing vacuums.

But they also mentioned if you have a vacuum that was left at the store, give corporate a call and they will try and locate it for you.
