Moorhead Man Set to Change Plea in the Death of His Daughter

Posted: Updated:

The trial is canceled and a change of plea hearing is set for a Moorhead man charged in connection with the death of his baby daughter.

Andrew Sandstrom was set to face a Clay County jury starting October 8th, but a change of plea hearing is now set for October 11th.

Sandstrom initially pleaded not guilty to manslaughter in the death of his baby daughter.

Police say Sandstrom forgot 5-month-old Christiana in a hot minivan for about four hours last summer.

She was taken from the van, and was unresponsive... later officials said she died.

Sandstrom's five other children were put in foster care after Christiana's death.

Sandstrom is out on bail.
