Locals surprised by cheap gas in West Fargo

Posted: Updated:

"gas prices are something that are on the minds of many people lately."

And those prices can be hard on the pocket book.

"a lot of people live pay check to pay check, and it's hard to get by a lot of times ya know?"

Nancy Borah just happened to get lucky this morning.

"just went over to Sandy Donuts this morning, and she said, hey the gas over there is 3.13"

$3.13 is $.25 cheaper than normal, but why?

"change peoples lives"

Changing people's lives with cheaper gas.

"when people ask what it is for, and you tell them it is for the love of Jesus, and they smile, and they ask if they got something we can pray for them and it beings tears to their eyes that there is someone actually out there that cares."

From 10 AM to noon, Living Hope Baptist Church paid the extra $.25 a gallon these drivers are now saving.

"and our mission has always remained the same, and that's just to show the love of god to our community in a practical way."

"I needed gas today, because I am on empty, so it will really help out."

BUT HE SAYS IT'S NOT JUST THE GAS.

"cause you need more good people in the world these days, cause there is not enough."

Trying to change people's lives, $.25 a gallon.

"cause it's the little things."

And because gas prices can be hard on the pocket book.

"they appreciate it, that there is someone out there that cares."
