Matt Cassel to Start Sunday for the Vikings

Christian Ponder will not play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in London on Sunday.

The Minnesota Vikings announced Friday morning Matt Cassel will get the start and McLeod Bethel-Thompson will be his backup.

There has been speculation all week a move could be made after it was announced Ponder suffered a rib injury during the week 3 loss to Cleveland.

Vikings Head Coach Leslie Frazier said Friday that Ponder has a broken rib, and there is no timetable for his return.
