Panera Bread Opens in Fargo

Posted: Updated:

The much anticipated Panera Bread opened its doors in Fargo at 6:00 a.m. Monday morning, as the company expands its footprint into North Dakota.

Taking only three months to build the 5,000 square foot space features a drive-thru, indoor and outdoor dining, baker viewing station and free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Panera is excited to finally be open in Fargo and ready to serve customers.

"We are thrilled to open our first bakery-cafe in North Dakota here in Fargo," said Shane Quail, Joint Venture Partner, Panera Bread. "We are happy to offer the many business professionals, families and students in the community, fresh and wholesome food choices; paired with the convenient service their busy schedules demand. We hope the drive-thru element will provide added convenience to the many customers who live and travel through this area."

Panera Bread also strives to fight hunger and has been doing so for the past 25 years by donating their unsold bread at the end of the day. Collectively, Panera bakery-cafes annually donate more than $100 million worth of unsold bread and baked goods to help people in need.

As part of the Community Breadbox program, all cash donations made by customers at the new Fargo bakery-cafe will be matched by Panera Bread and distributed to Great Plains Food Bank.

Panera will open a location in Grand Forks on October 8th, followed by locations in Minot and Bismark.

The Fargo store is located at 4000 West 13th Avenue (West Acres Shopping Center at the corner of 13th Avenue and 40th Street)

Hours: Sunday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Phone: (701) 492-4598
