Fargo Force Open Their Home Season Friday Night

Posted: Updated:

After almost clinching the Clark Cup last season, the Fargo Force are back at it again, hoping for another shot at winning it all.

It's not just an exciting year for the team, but fans are sure to enjoy a host of new amenities at Scheels Arena for this year's hockey season.

New this year is the "Cold Stone Kid Zone," replacing the general admission bleachers from years past. The new party area can be rented out at $159 for 10 kids for birthday parties, youth hockey clubs and other groups. Kids will get a hot dog, chips, drink and a Cold Stone ice cream treat, all while watching the game right next to the glass.

New banners have also been hung above the East side of the arena, one for each USHL team in both Eastern and Western conferences. Including Fargo Force Western conference championship banners.

The arena will also undergo an acoustic enhancement, adding 540 new acoustic panels to reduce the echo and new subwoofers will help enhance the sound, not just for hockey but concerts as well.

Fans can also look forward to brand new player jerseys that will be debuted at Friday nights home opener.

Tickets for the home opener are still available by visiting the Scheels Arena Box Office or calling 701-364-3672. You can also click the "buy tickets" link on the top right of this page.

Scheels Arena is located at 5225 31st Ave S. in Fargo.
