MN DNR Begins Annual Color Watch

Posted: Updated:

There are still some hours left to summer 2013, but don't tell that to the Minnesota DNR. The folks at the Department of Natural Resources are already watching for leaves to begin their annual autumn show of spectacular color.

The DNR website shows where the best places are to look for color, and Thursday's map shows the northwest corner of the state is one of the best spots right now, at 10-25% peak.

The website also lists Buffalo State Park near Glyndon as one of this week's top picks to color watch. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/fall_colors/index.html
