Posted: Updated:

Two people are dead and four others are badly injured after a head-on crash in Otter Tail County.

Minnesota troopers say a car was headed the wrong way down Highway 108 about 6 Wednesday night. An SUV coming the other direction couldn't avoid the crash, and the two vehicles hit head-on. Both ended up in the ditch.

Two people from Deer Creek, Minnesota, died. Investigators will release the names after notifying family.

The other two people in the car -- a five-year-old and 8-year-old -- were seriously hurt.

Two people in the SUV -- Laura and Grant Smith of Henning, Minnesota -- were also seriously injured.
