Mother upset over Taylor Swift concert seating

Posted: Updated:

A young girl's birthday wish to see an award-winning country music star will not come true tonight.

Tonight is the night many young Taylor Swift fans have been waiting for, the chance to see their idol up close and personal.

But, one mother says the FargoDome is not accommodating her daughter's special needs.

For her birthday this month, Cailian asked for tickets to hear Taylor Swift sing tonight.

"She told me that she loves Taylor swift very, very much, and that's the only thing that makes her happy."

7-year old Cailian is legally blind, and hard of hearing.

"What's your favorite song?

At concerts she can't see when she is in the regular handicapped seating.

"I just want her to be able to go to any concert that she chooses"

In the past the FargoDome has been very accommodating, she called the ticket office explained the situation, and apparently this time she was told they could not give her the seat she needs to see Taylor Swift.

"She told me her heart was broken"

Ashlee says she never got the explanation she was looking for from the FargoDome.

"There's been other people that have been involved and tried to help, but it just does not seem to matter ."

All Cailins friends are going to the concert, and tonight, she won't be going.

"I think its just unfair for everybody, everybody should have the same rights, everybody should be able to do what they want to do, especially kids, that have no control over their situation."

We reached out to the FargoDome, but they were not available for an interview.

But, on their website it says, "Seating for persons with limited mobility vary by event layout; however, there are specific areas designed to accommodate those with limited mobility."
