Bison Football Starts 2013 Home Season Saturday

It'll be a busy weekend on the NDSU campus as Bison Football returns to the Fargodome to start their 2013 home season.

In addition to football, soccer and volleyball also have big games planned for the weekend with 20,000 fans expected to be on campus.

Tailgating lots for football open at 11 AM on Saturday. It's recommended that you be in your seats 30 minutes prior to kickoff, especially if you want to see the raising of the national championship banner.

Saturday's football game is sold out but you may be able to buy returned tickets on sale at 8 AM Friday, by visiting the Bison Sports Arena box office or calling (701) 231-NDSU.

Weekend Event Schedule

Friday

  • Women's Soccer vs Idaho, 5:00 PM, Dacotah Field
  • Women's Volleyball vs Louisville (#16), 7:00 PM, Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse

Saturday

  • Women's Volleyball vs Wisconsin, 12:30 PM, Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse
  • Football vs Ferris State, 4:00 PM, Fargodome
  • Women's Volleyball vs Northern Iowa, 7:00 PM, Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse 

If you can't attend Saturday's football game, you can watch it live on KVLY Ch. 11. Pre-game coverage starts at 3:30 PM followed by full in-game coverage at 4:00 PM in high definition.

    Head on Collision Injures Two

    Two drivers were hurt in a headon collision in Otter Tail County Saturday night.The Minnesota State Patrol says Jacquelyn Burrows, 63, of Pelican Rapids, was seriously injured. Troopers say Kelsey Laugen, 18, of Elk River, was hurt with non-life threatening injuries.According to an agency report, Burrows was traveling North on Highway 59 near 450th Street when she crossed the center line and hit Laugen head on. It happened at about 8:45 Saturday night.

    Fire In Horace, House Is Total Loss

    Crews were called at 10:10 a.m. to a house fire at7113 Woodland Circle north of Horace. Homeowners were inside at the time, but escaped, and no one was hurt.     Beltrami Business Believed to be Total Loss After Fire

    Beltrami Fire Department says part of a business is destroyed after an early morning fire. Firefighters say they were called out around 1:00 a.m. to a fire at the Beltrami Mall.  Crews say West Central
    The Beltrami Fire Chief says is investigating the cause of the fire and say they believe it started in the shop area. The Safety Director for West Ag believes the entire building is a total loss.
