The back-to-back FCS national champion North Dakota State University football team will open the 2013 campaign sporting new road uniforms Friday night against defending Big 12 champion Kansas State. The game will be televised live at 7:30 p.m. on FOX Sports 1.
The white jerseys and green pants are made by Powers for Nike. Powers vice president Scott Klieman designed the uniform with Brian Gordon, NDSU director of football operations and equipment services, in consultation with NDSU administration and the Bison coaching staff.
The jersey style is called the Nike Enforcer, which is the base style that a majority of Division I teams are wearing this season. It features various seams and panels and a special pattern that when combined with the fabrics used produce the best fitting and performing jersey in college football.
The pant is called the Nike Crack Back and features a contrasting side insert. The no fly pattern is what Division I programs demand for high performance. The patterns have been tested at the highest levels for fit and performance.
The jerseys feature neck trim as an add-on option that was created specifically for NDSU. The letters and numerals are in NDSU's custom font using kiss cut sewn-on tackle twill. The fabric used in the jersey and pants is a moisture management material with helps keep the athlete cooler and dryer.
