Vikings Struggle In Pre-Season Games

Posted: Updated:

Although the W's don't count now, the Vikings haven't started on the best foot as their Pre-season record is now 0-2.

The Vikings offence struggled without star player Adrian Peterson who is still resting through the preseason. Buffalo's Jerry Hughes had a 7-yard sack on Christian Ponder in Friday night's game.

Vikings first half score was capped off by a 36 yard field goal from kicker Blair Walsh. Minnesota didn't deliver until the 4th quarter where they had two touchdowns.

Joe Banyard scored on the 4th down from the one yard line, and Rodney Smith carried in a 36 yard pass.

"I liked the way our guys felt, obviously there's some things we'll need to improve on in order for us to be successful this season." Vikings Head Coach Leslie Frazier says, "We'll have to go back and look at the tape and evaluate some of the things that went good and some of the things that went wrong, and see if we can improve for this next game coming up, but we've definitely got a lot of work to do."

The Bills won 20-16.
