Four men are in custody after a shooting and short car chase through Moorhead early Thursday that ended in someone's yard.

Police say officers responded to a disturbance involving a firearm at 1321 14th Street South around 2 a.m. A weapon had been discharged, but the shooter missed. Another person was injured when he was hit with a gun. They tried to pull over a suspect vehicle leaving the scene, but the driver didn't stop.

A 15-block chase ended when the car ran off the road into a residential yard and became disabled. Four men ran from the vehicle, but were arrested a short time later in the area.

Police arrested 22-year-old Emmanual Xaviaer Kennedy, 21-year-old Curtis Marquis Nichols, 19-year-old Ermin Adzemovic and 20-year-old Trei Hobert Patrick Johnson. Police believe at least one of the suspects knew the people living in the home.

The four could face a list of charges including 1st Degree Burglary, 2nd Degree Assault, Attempted Murder and Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle.

Neighbors in the area say they have seen a lot of people coming and going from the home at all times which they think is strange. Overall, one neighbor, Ben Yasgar says it is time to keep one eye open at all times. "I don't like it. You know, this is a nice, quiet family, college kid-type neighborhood. And it's getting too close you might say," says Yasgar.
