UPDATE: High-Speed Chase Hits Speeds Over 100 MPH in Clay County

Posted: Updated:

A driver led Clay County deputies on a high-speed chase early Monday morning, that reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour.  Deputies tried to pull over 21-year-old Jarrod Hogan for a traffic stop in South Moorhead, but he continued driving Southbound on Highway 52 heading toward Sabin.

Near 100th Avenue and 60th Street Hogan tore across a wheat field, launched his car across a ditch and crashed in the field across the way.  A K-9 unit from Moorhead was called out when police thought Hogan would run but it wasn't needed when officers arrested the man without further incident.

Jarrod Hogan has been evaluated by F-M Ambulance for injuries. He had several warrants and is now in the Clay County Jail. His car is heavily damaged and there is some property damage to the wheat fields.
