Update 3:00 AM Thursday

From the Moorhead Police Department:

On Wednesday 8/7/13 at approximately 9:42 pm, Moorhead officers were dispatched to Walgreen's, located at 900 Main Ave, on a report of a robbery that just occurred.  Officers quickly set up a perimeter for a K-9 search, but then learned the male suspect left in a vehicle.

The male suspect entered the store and motioned to the clerk that he had a weapon and demanded money and other items.  The weapon was never displayed.  The clerk complied and gave the male an unknown amount of money.  The male then left the store out the main door, got into a dark colored vehicle, and left the area.  This information was relayed to the other area law enforcement agencies.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40 years of age, with a goatee.  He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black shirt, and a blue beanie.  We are working on getting video surveillance and a photograph may be released at a later time.
