Abortion Rally Stops In Fargo

Posted: Updated:

Two caravans are traveling from both coasts to rally abortion rights across the United States. Saturday the two groups met up in Fargo, being together for the first time, as supporters protest women's rights to abortion.

The Abortion Rights Freedom Ride is going through 15 different states, including the 5 states where there is only one abortion clinic left, like the Red River Women's Clinic in Fargo.

North Dakota currently has it's Anti Abortion Law blocked. Supporters held signs with their slogan 'Abortion on Demand and Without Apology.'

The group says banning abortions is forcing women into motherhood, and they say that is a form of enslavement.

"Decisions about their bodies, their reproductive health are made by others, by the state, and I think that that's obscene! And for women to actually have a full role in society they have to have control over their reproductive rights." says Sam Rodyah.

The Abortion Rights Freedom Ride is headed to Kansas and Mississippi.
